One of the first paint schemes I ever tried my hand at was a version of Laurel’s Legion. I painted up the Griffin that came with the Beginner Box. A couple years later, I wanted to try my hand at it again: I had improved as a painter and learned a few tricks like Non-Metallic Metal.

Overall I’m really happy with the results. The technique I used for the black sections served as a testbed for the recipe I would use for Blair’s Blackbirds.
